About the Sedona Swordfish Swim Team
The Sedona Swordfish is Sedona’s legacy summer swim team, welcoming young swimmers from across the Verde Valley for generations. Long before the Sedona Community Pool was rebuilt, local kids were already gathering here to race, learn, and build friendships that lasted well beyond the season.
Today, the tradition continues with a program designed to help swimmers grow both in skill and confidence. Under the leadership of Head Coach Jody—who once swam for the Swordfish herself—the team combines proven swim training with a supportive, community-centered culture that encourages effort, curiosity, and teamwork.
Our program welcomes swimmers who can comfortably swim one length of the pool unassisted. Whether a swimmer is new to racing or looking to improve their performance, the goal is the same: develop strong fundamentals, enjoy the process of learning, and experience the fun and camaraderie that make summer swim team a lifelong memory.
The Sedona Swordfish isn’t just about becoming faster in the water—it’s about discovering what you’re capable of when you show up, work hard, and cheer for the people in the lane next to you.
